That into where I want two different fans to go arm. We are going to be powered off of this one light fixture. We have here, it's already powered from a switch that's inside of the house and we're going to be using this wiring we're going to remove this fixture and reuse, this wiring to power up the fans. Okay, we remove the light fixture and we can see inside the box now that we have 14-2 wiring um. This is perfect, so we know we're going to run off some fourteen to new wiring when we start putting in through the conduit.
So now we need to make a measurement to how far or where we want the actual middle of this roof to go. So we have that plate lined up with each other. Okay, so all I'm doing here is, if you see this box, it's already placed into the stucco, so I'm not going to want to remove that all I'm doing is putting some anchors around it. They sell a box that has four tabs two on each side that they extend out and you can place some screws in there. So that's what we're going to do here, we're going to put a box over this original box and extend it out so that we can wire from inside okay. So you can see that this is the box that we're using.
This is a weatherproof box. However, it is not exactly needed for this area of work it just everything matches up, so I want to make sure that everything stays the same color everything is the same material type and that's what we're going to be using. So you can see that I'm anchoring this box over the original box and later on, we'll come with some caulking and fill that in so you'll. Never even know that there was a box there that originally existed. Okay, so, as you can see here, all I'm using is my drill to drill the screws into the anchors through the box.
The extended brackets that the box has my recommendation is to make sure that you get yourself a magnetic bit. It helps tremendously when doing any work. Doesn't matter what type of work you're doing get some magnetic bits and it holds the screw to the bit without falling or the chances of it falling are less likely, at least so. Just keep in mind. The box that we're using here is for outlets.
However, we're not going to use it for that and we're going to cover it with a face plate in the end so that you can't see the wiring okay. So here is our adapter that we were originally talking about. So our adapter is going to go into this box that has threading here's our 90 that we were talking about as well. So the 90-degree turn is going to go up against that ceiling, joist just to go in the direction that we want the fans to go.
