This is a flush, mount ceiling light and it's gonna be taking place of two fluorescent well there, just incandescent fixtures that I've had a Compaq mean twist light in so compact fluorescent mini twist. So this is a patriot lighting, the Menard special says it's 1700 lumen, which should be much brighter than the 13 watt CFL that I had so it's as over-consumption is 26 Watts. Diameter is 12 and a half height is 3 and the lumen is 1700 s. So - and this is a made in China - special - don't know how long this is supposed to last.
The guy in the store said it's supposed to last somewhere between 10 and 15 years, or something like that, and this fixture was that's, got a 5 year. So I would assume before the five years is up this little. Something will be off with this light. That would be my guess. So here's what the package looks like. OK, so this is the light just took it out of the box here. This is the hardware that comes through. This is basically two screws. Three wire nuts, probably only gonna, need the two wire nuts, the ground.
You can wrap around the backside. You got a white, a black ground and you got two different sets of mounting holes here. I believe I'm using the outer ones it's just getting connected to a like an octagon box, okay and then they get the plastic cover off here. These things you just turn off these little set screws, and there is just a little tab. That kind of holds his whole rim assembly together, and then you had a and pull up like that. This ring comes off and this is the plastic cover.
This looks like it's like that, so and then this is where your screws would be going through. Now, what I noticed was what the screws are, you suppose, to the way that has that hole like that, you should be able to put the school screws in the box and then push the screws through, but it feels like these screws might not go through see. They're not going to go through that hole, I don't quite understand and if I tilt that I can kind of get it, so I think the idea is that you'd be able to put it in the fixture and be able to put it through, but probably gonna end up having to stick the screws through the fixture while holding it one hand, so that's that so this was the fixture that was off.
It's just a single bulb and I had just a mini twist and not that one. It was smaller than that 13 watt, the back of it looks like so. This was a pretty cheap. I want to say this thing was like a twelve dollar fixture and it's got the original glass two of those.
